Floppydata Pricing 2026: What $1/GB Actually Buys

I build production AI agents, web scrapers, and automation pipelines. Most of what I publish here comes from the actual problems they run into: proxies that get banned, anti-bot stacks that fingerprint your client, RAG that drifts when the underlying data moves. Stack: Python, TypeScript, Go, FastAPI, LangChain, Crawlee, Playwright, deployed on AWS, GCP, and Cloudflare.

Floppydata prices its rotating proxies at $1.00/GB subject to change · verified 2026-11-06, and that single rate covers residential, mobile and datacenter IPs bought as one balance. Static ISP addresses start at $1.79/IP/mo subject to change · verified 2026-11-06 and static datacenter at $0.79/IP/mo (verified on floppydata.com, 6 November 2026). The catch that decides whether this is cheap: the $1/GB rate buys traffic valid for 30 days, and traffic that never expires costs $1.50/GB.

Quick Answer

Floppydata's pricing model (verified November 2026): rotating proxy $1.00/GB covering residential, mobile and datacenter in one purchase (30-day validity; $1.50/GB for non-expiring traffic), static residential (ISP) from $1.79/IP/month, static datacenter from $0.79/IP/month, web scraper $0.9 per 1,000 successful scrapes, and a free Cloud Browser that only bills the proxy traffic it uses. Minimum rotating order is 19 GB ($19). Static products come as monthly bundles of 20, 50 or 100 IPs with unlimited bandwidth.

The rotating product: one balance, three IP types

Floppydata's core product sells gigabytes, not IP types. You buy GB once and set the type in the proxy username, so the same balance pays for residential, mobile and datacenter exits. Most providers charge two to four times more for mobile traffic than residential; Floppydata charges the same rate, which is the single most consequential line in its pricing.

What you buyCostWhat it covers
19 GB$19residential, mobile, datacenter, 30 days
100 GB$100same, 30 days
Any size, non-expiring$1.50/GBsame, never expires

The 30-day clock is the detail to budget around. A monthly crawl that consumes its balance inside 30 days pays $1/GB. A quarterly project that buys 100 GB and spends 6 weeks burning it needs the $1.50/GB non-expiring rate, which is 50% more per GB than DataImpulse's permanent $1/GB rate.

For comparison shopping: DataImpulse charges $1/GB with no expiry on residential only (mobile is $2/GB there), while Evomi's pay-as-you-go residential is $0.99/GB with no expiry but mobile runs $3.98/GB. Floppydata's advantage is mobile traffic at the residential rate; its cost is the validity split.

Static residential (ISP) pricing

Static residential addresses are ISP-registered IPs on server hardware: fixed addresses with residential trust scores, sold per IP per month with unlimited bandwidth.

BundlePrice
20 IPs/mofrom $1.79/IP
50 IPs/modiscounted per-IP rate
100 IPs/mobest per-IP rate

Floppydata's pricing page publishes the entry rate and the bundle sizes; the 50 and 100 IP bundle rates appear at checkout. At the entry rate, 20 static ISP addresses cost about $36/month with no bandwidth metering.

Static datacenter pricing

The same bundle structure with server IPs: from $0.79/IP/month, bundles of 20, 50 or 100, unlimited bandwidth. Twenty static datacenter addresses run about $16/month at the entry rate. For workloads that need a fixed set of IPs and flat cost, this is one of the cheaper per-IP products in the market; DataImpulse sells nothing comparable (its datacenter product is per-GB only).

The Web Scraper and Cloud Browser

Two products sit next to the proxies:

Web Scraper ($0.9 per 1,000 scrapes). A managed API that returns pages as a real browser renders them: CAPTCHAs solved, failed attempts retried through stronger pools, billed only for successful scrapes. Floppydata publishes per-scrape pricing rather than per-GB, so a job that renders heavy pages costs the same as one that fetches light ones.

Cloud Browser (free). A managed Chromium you drive over CDP with Playwright or Puppeteer, running on Floppydata proxies. The tool itself is free; you pay only for the proxy traffic it consumes. Puppeteer and Playwright scripts point at the CDP endpoint instead of managing local browser fleets.

Worked examples

A mixed workload: 60 GB residential + 25 GB mobile per month, consumed monthly. One rotating product, 85 GB at $1/GB = $85/month. On a provider that prices mobile separately at ~$3.50 to $4/GB, the mobile half alone would cost $87 to $100, before any residential spend.

A quarterly audit: 150 GB over 10 weeks. The 30-day validity does not cover the schedule, so non-expiring traffic at $1.50/GB = $225. DataImpulse's permanent $1/GB would run $150 for the residential share, and its mobile at $2/GB would still beat separate-mobile providers. If your balance sits idle for long stretches, the flat-rate providers win.

Account management on 20 static ISP IPs. About $36/month, unlimited bandwidth, same addresses every session. Comparable per-IP products: IPRoyal ISP from $2.40/IP on the 90-day plan, Evomi shared ISP at $1.00/IP (US only, shared with up to three customers).

What the price does not include

  • A residential pool size. Floppydata does not publish one. Coverage is listed as 148 countries and 442 cities (Floppydata's figures), narrower than the 195-country providers.
  • Free traffic. The minimum order is 19 GB ($19), with refunds reviewed within 3 days only if less than 1 GB has been used.
  • ZIP-level targeting on the base rate. Country, state, city and ASN targeting are included; check the dashboard for anything finer before budgeting.

How to pay less on Floppydata

  1. Match validity to consumption. If you reliably burn the balance within 30 days, stay at $1/GB. The $1.50 rate is only for balances that idle.
  2. Put mobile-heavy jobs here. Mobile at the residential rate is the structural saving; providers pricing mobile at $3.50+ make mobile-first workloads three times as expensive.
  3. Use the free Cloud Browser instead of hosted browser products. Competing scraping browsers run $24.99/month and up before traffic; Floppydata's bills traffic only.
  4. Run the numbers on static datacenter vs rotating datacenter. If a job pushes more than ~25 GB/month through a handful of fixed IPs, $0.79/IP with unlimited bandwidth beats $1/GB rotating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Floppydata's rotating proxy product costs $1.00/GB for residential, mobile and datacenter traffic bought as one balance (verified November 2026). That rate buys traffic valid for 30 days; non-expiring traffic costs $1.50/GB. The minimum order is 19 GB ($19).

Yes. Mobile 4G/5G traffic bills at the same rate as residential on the rotating product, because both are drawn from one balance. Most competitors charge two to four times the residential rate for mobile, which is why mobile-heavy workloads price well here.

It depends on which rate you buy. At $1.00/GB, purchased traffic is valid for 30 days. Paying $1.50/GB buys traffic that never expires. This split differs from DataImpulse ($1/GB, never expires) and Evomi pay-as-you-go ($0.99/GB residential, never expires).

Static residential (ISP) proxies start at $1.79/IP/month with unlimited bandwidth, sold as monthly bundles of 20, 50 or 100 IPs. Static datacenter IPs start at $0.79/IP/month on the same bundle structure (verified November 2026).

No free traffic. The entry point is the 19 GB rotating order at $19, and Floppydata reviews refund requests within 3 days of purchase if less than 1 GB has been used.

For mobile traffic, yes: Floppydata charges $1.00/GB (30-day) or $1.50/GB (non-expiring) for mobile, while DataImpulse charges $2/GB. For non-expiring residential, no: DataImpulse is $1/GB flat against Floppydata's $1.50/GB. If your balance turns over within 30 days and includes mobile, Floppydata usually wins; for idle balances on residential-only workloads, DataImpulse does.

$0.9 per 1,000 successful scrapes, with rendering, CAPTCHA solving and retries handled by the API. You are billed for successful scrapes rather than bandwidth, which suits pages that render heavy JavaScript.
