Evomi Review (2026): Swiss Proxies From $0.49/GB, Tested
Evomi sells the cheapest residential proxies on the market: $0.49/GB on its 100 GB monthly plan, from a pool of 54M+ ethically sourced IPs in 150+ countries. It is a Swiss provider, certified to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, and the residential pool is only one part of the account. Mobile, datacenter and static residential proxies sit next to it, along with a Scraper API and a hosted Scraping Browser.
Low price is the headline, but what makes Evomi interesting for scraping teams is how much control ships at that price. Country, region and city targeting are free on every plan. Sticky sessions hold an IP for up to 24 hours. Core Residential adds filters most budget providers don't offer at all: fraud score, ASN, ISP, latency, device type and TCP/IP fingerprint.
This review covers every Evomi product with its current price, how the residential network works in practice, the developer tooling, and the cases where another provider will suit you better. We opened an Evomi account the way any customer would, ran about 400 requests through Core Residential on 12 October 2026, and checked every price, limit and parameter below against Evomi's pricing pages, its full documentation and its Public API.
Quick verdictโ
Evomi is the right pick when bandwidth cost decides the project: large crawls, price monitoring across many SKUs, and SERP tracking where every gigabyte counts. You get a big residential pool, free geo-targeting down to city level and session control that holds up for logged-in flows, at a rate the rest of the market doesn't match. If you would rather not run proxies yourself, the Scraper API and Scraping Browser in the same account handle rendering and retries for you.

Core Residentialโ
| Plan | Price | Per GB | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly, 100 GB | $49/month | $0.49 | Extra GB at the same $0.49 rate. 1-day free trial. |
| Pay as you go, 15 GB+ | โ | $0.99 | No subscription, traffic never expires |
| Pay as you go, 1,000 GB+ | โ | $0.79 | Volume rate without a monthly commitment |
The monthly plan is the cheapest way to buy residential traffic we have seen from any self-serve provider. If your usage is uneven, the pay-as-you-go balance is the better buy: at $0.99/GB it still undercuts most of the market, and it never expires.
Mobileโ
| Plan | Monthly price | Traffic | Per GB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | โ | from 1 GB | $3.98 |
| Flex | $30 | 8 GB | $3.75 |
| Pro | $90 | 25 GB | $3.60 |
| Advanced | $170 | 50 GB | $3.40 |

| Max | $2,600 | 1,000 GB | $2.60 |
| Enterprise | $11,000 | 5,000 GB | $2.20 |
Evomi prices one mobile gigabyte rather than separate 3G, 4G and 5G tiers, and every plan includes unlimited concurrent sessions.
Datacenter and static residentialโ
Datacenter traffic is billed per GB with unlimited concurrency: $0.45/GB pay as you go, $0.40/GB on 200 GB ($80/month), $0.35/GB on 500 GB ($175/month) and $0.30/GB on 1,000 GB ($300/month).
Static residential (ISP) IPs are billed per IP with unlimited bandwidth: Shared at $1.00/IP (shared with up to three customers), Private at $2.50/IP (dedicated to you) and Virgin at $4.50/IP (never sold as a proxy before). They are US only, and you keep the same addresses for as long as you renew.
Scraper API and Scraping Browser pricingโ
| Scraper API plan | Monthly price | Per 1,000 results |
|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | โ | $0.20 (credits never expire) |
| Developer | $44.99 | $0.16 |
| Startup | $149.99 | $0.14 |
| Business | $379.99 | $0.13 |
Failed requests are not charged. The Scraping Browser runs on monthly credits: Prototyping at $24.99 (about $0.20 per browser hour), Growth at $129.99 and Scale at $249.99.
How the residential network worksโ
Each Evomi proxy network has a single gateway, so you never manage country-specific hosts. Residential traffic goes to rp.evomi.com, with HTTP on port 1000, HTTPS on 1001 (through rp.evomi-proxy.com, the hostname the TLS certificate covers) and SOCKS5 on 1002. Targeting and session options go into the password field, so one set of credentials covers every location and session type.
import requests
from requests.adapters import HTTPAdapter
from urllib3.util.retry import Retry
# Targeting and session keys are appended to the password
proxy = "http://USERNAME:PASSWORD_country-US_city-new.york_session-abc12345@rp.evomi.com:1000"
session = requests.Session()
session.proxies.update({"http": proxy, "https": proxy})
# The retry policy Evomi's own docs recommend for production scripts
retry = Retry(total=3, backoff_factor=1, status_forcelist=[429, 500, 502, 503, 504])
session.mount("http://", HTTPAdapter(max_retries=retry))
session.mount("https://", HTTPAdapter(max_retries=retry))
print(session.get("https://ip.evomi.com/s", timeout=30).text)
You don't have to build these strings by hand. The Public API's /public/generate endpoint returns ready-made proxy lists (up to 100 at a time) with your country, city, ISP and session settings already applied, in whichever user:pass@host:port layout your tool expects.
Sessionsโ
Four behaviours cover almost every scraping pattern, all at no extra cost:
| Mode | Password key | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Rotating (default) | none | A new residential IP on every request |
| Sticky | session-<6โ10 chars> | Holds one IP for 30 minutes by default; lifetime-<minutes> extends it to 1,440 minutes (24 hours) |
| Hard session | hardsession-<6โ10 chars> | Keeps the exact IP for as long as the network can, for logins that break when the address changes |
| Locked session | lockedsession-<6โ10 chars> | Binds to one IP and never swaps it; if that peer goes offline the request fails instead of moving you |
A sticky session is tuned for success rate and may move you to a new IP to keep the connection working. A hard session holds on much harder, which is what you want for account work, and a locked session never moves at all, so you know for certain that every request came from one address. Unlimited concurrent sessions are included on every plan. If you're deciding between rotating and sticky, our rotating vs sticky sessions guide walks through the trade-offs.
Geo-targetingโ
Country, region and city targeting are free on every residential plan (country-US, region-california, city-new.york). Continent, ISP and ASN selection are available too. A geosource- key lets you choose which geolocation database resolves those keys, which helps when your own IP checker disagrees with the provider's. ZIP-code targeting (zip-90210) is an expert filter on Core Residential and uses extra bandwidth.
The Public API's targeting endpoint lists what is actually available: 217 countries, 1,805 regions and 24,370 cities on Core Residential, and 174 countries with 321 carriers on mobile. Search the list below for your country: it opens Evomi's dedicated country page where one exists (48 countries), and its locations index for the rest.

Expert filters on Core Residentialโ
This is where Evomi stands out from other low-cost providers. Core Residential accepts filters that pick an IP by quality rather than location:
fraudscore-caps the Scamalytics fraud score of the IPs you receive, for targets that judge reputationlatency-rejects any IP slower than the round-trip time you setdevice-limits the pool to Windows, Unix or Apple devicesactivesince-asks for IPs that have held their connection for a minimum time, a proxy for a stable lineisp-andasn-take every IP from one provider or autonomous system- TCP/IP fingerprint matching, HTTP/3 over QUIC (
http3-1, via SOCKS5) and exit-node DNS resolution (localdns-1)
The filters narrow the pool and use extra bandwidth, and the dashboard shows the exact rate before you commit. For most jobs the defaults are enough. When a target scores IP reputation hard, fraudscore- and activesince- are the two worth trying first.
Core vs Premium Residentialโ
Premium Residential ($3.98/GB pay as you go, down to $2.20/GB at volume) draws on a pool about twice the size of Core and adds built-in ISP selection, an ad blocker and three pool modes: standard, speed and quality. Start on Core. Move a target to Premium only when Core's success rate on it isn't good enough, since Premium costs about four times more per gigabyte on pay as you go.
Evomi hands-on test: what we foundโ
We ran about 400 requests through Core Residential on 12 October 2026, using 3.5 MB of the account's balance. Locations were checked against ipinfo.io's geolocation database.
| Test | Requests | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Rotation, no session key | 79 | Every successful request left from a different IP |
country-US | 15 | 15/15 in the US, across 7 ISPs (Comcast, Charter, Verizon and others) |
country-DE | 24 | 24/24 in Germany (Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and smaller regional ISPs) |
country-BR | 14 | 14/14 in Brazil, across 11 different ISPs |
country-JP | 13 | 13/13 in Japan |
region-california | 15 | 15/15 in California |
city-new.york | 9 | 7 in New York City, 2 in the wider New York metro area |
city-london | 8 | 7 in London, 1 elsewhere in England |
Sticky session (session-) | 15 sequential | The same IP on every request |
Hard session (hardsession-) | 15 sequential | The same IP on every request |
| Real pages (Wikipedia, Books to Scrape, Amazon) | 30 | All returned through US exits |
Country and region targeting were exact in every sample. City targeting was accurate to the metro area, which is typical for residential pools, since a city label depends on the geolocation database doing the lookup. If your checker uses a different database, the geosource- key lets you match it.
On small requests to an IP-check endpoint, median response time was 0.64 seconds through London exits and 0.9 to 1.2 seconds through US and Japanese exits, measured from our own test machine. A residential IP's speed is that household's line speed, so your numbers will depend on where you are and what you fetch, but nothing we ran was slow enough to matter for a scraping workload.
The ISP spread stood out most. Fifteen US requests landed on seven different ISPs, and fourteen Brazilian requests on eleven, so a crawl is spread across many networks rather than concentrated on one provider's ranges.

Mobile, datacenter and static residentialโ
The other three proxy networks share the same credentials model, so moving a target from residential to mobile or datacenter is a change of hostname and port, not a new integration.
Mobile (3G/4G/5G). 3M+ carrier IPs from opt-in devices on real cellular networks, reached through mp.evomi.com (HTTP 3000, SOCKS5 3002). The Public API lists 174 targetable countries and 321 carriers, and you can target by country, region, city and carrier. Mobile operators put many subscribers behind one public IP (carrier-grade NAT), so blocking a mobile address costs a site real customers, which is why these IPs often get through where residential ones are challenged. Pricing runs from $3.98/GB pay as you go down to $2.20/GB on the 5,000 GB plan, with the same session keys as residential.
Datacenter. Server IPs billed per GB rather than per IP, from $0.45/GB pay as you go down to $0.30/GB, with unlimited concurrency on every plan. Country and ISP targeting are included, across 181 countries. Use it for the targets that don't check who owns an address: it is the fastest and cheapest class Evomi sells. Every proxy request is billed at least 512 bytes, which only matters for very high volumes of tiny requests.
Static Residential (ISP). A fixed, ISP-registered address hosted on a server, billed per IP with unlimited bandwidth and HTTP, SOCKS5 and UDP support. You rent a set of IPs and choose which one to exit from by putting it in front of your password (203.0.113.10_PASSWORD), so one credential set reaches your whole allocation. Three grades: Shared ($1.00/IP, up to three customers), Private ($2.50/IP, dedicated) and Virgin ($4.50/IP, never sold as a proxy before). IPs are in the US, and you keep the same addresses for as long as you renew. Evomi replaces an IP that fails its fraud-score quality claim, measured on IPQualityScore.
Scraper API and Scraping Browserโ
Most proxy providers stop at IPs. Evomi also sells two managed scraping products, so when a target gets too hard for raw proxies, you can hand it to a managed product without opening a second vendor account.
The Scraper API takes a URL and returns HTML, markdown, a screenshot, a PDF or structured JSON. mode=request is a fast HTTP fetch, mode=browser renders JavaScript, and mode=auto chooses for you. It also handles extraction with CSS, XPath, regex or an LLM, saved scraper configs, schedules, webhooks, delivery to S3-compatible storage, URL discovery and domain crawling. Limits are on concurrent requests per key, not on requests per second.
curl "https://scrape.evomi.com/api/v1/scraper/realtime?url=https://example.com&api_key=YOUR_API_KEY"
The Scraping Browser is a hosted Chromium you drive over a CDP WebSocket from Puppeteer, Playwright or any CDP client. You choose the proxy country, operating system and fingerprint per session, and common challenges are handled during navigation.
On top of both sits the Agent Request API: you describe a scraping task in plain language, and it picks the operations (scrape, crawl, URL discovery, search) and returns the result. It's the quickest way to prototype a job before you write a scraper config for it.
๐ Try the Evomi Scraper API: pay only for successful results, from $0.13 per 1,000
Developer experienceโ
The documentation is one of the clearer ones in this market. It covers every product's endpoints and parameters, integration guides for Python requests, Scrapy, Playwright, Puppeteer, Selenium, Node.js, cURL and mobile devices, and a full llms.txt for AI coding assistants.
Beyond raw proxies, Evomi ships:
- Official Python, JavaScript and Rust clients for the scraping products
- A verified n8n node, so a scrape can be one step in a workflow
- An MCP server that lets Claude and other assistants scrape, crawl and manage proxy credentials, sessions and balances
- A Public API for proxy credentials, bandwidth usage, targeting options, session rotation and proxy-list generation
- Free tools: an IP lookup that compares seven geolocation databases, a bulk proxy checker and a browser-fingerprint checker
Real-time usage statistics in the dashboard show bandwidth over time and which domains received requests.
Compliance and trustโ
Evomi is a Swiss company, ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited, and a member of the Ethical Web Data Collection Initiative (EWDCI). Its residential and mobile pools are sourced from paid, opt-in volunteer nodes. For teams that have to pass a vendor security review, a SOC 2 Type II report is the document procurement usually asks for first, and Evomi has one.
Enterprise customers can get custom pricing, an SLA, an NDA and dedicated account management through sales.
Matching Evomi products to your workloadโ
| Workload | Product | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Large crawls, price monitoring, SERP tracking | Core Residential | Lowest cost per GB, free geo-targeting, per-request rotation |
| Logged-in flows, carts, multi-step checkouts | Core Residential with hardsession- | Keeps the exact IP for the whole flow |
| Targets that score IP reputation | Core Residential with fraudscore- / activesince- | Filters out flagged and unstable IPs |
| Social and mobile-first apps | Mobile | Carrier IPs behind CGNAT are the hardest to block |
| Account management on one fixed address | Static Residential (ISP) | Same IP every time, unlimited bandwidth |
| Unprotected sites at volume | Datacenter | $0.30โ0.45/GB with unlimited concurrency |
| JavaScript-heavy pages, structured output | Scraper API | Rendering, retries and extraction handled for you |
| Existing Puppeteer/Playwright scripts | Scraping Browser | Point the script at a WebSocket instead of hosting browsers |
Trial, refunds and paymentโ
Core Residential has a 1-day free trial; other products have a 3-day trial. A trial renews at the plan price unless you cancel it before it ends. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers your first purchase in each product category, as long as you've used less than 10% of the data or 1 GB, whichever is smaller. Evomi's refund policy lists static residential IPs, balance top-ups and pay-as-you-go traffic as non-refundable, so start on a monthly plan or the trial if you want the guarantee.
Evomi accepts cards and PayPal, and bank transfer on request. Invoices download from the dashboard.
Where Evomi is a weaker fitโ
- IP whitelisting. Evomi authenticates with username and password only. If your tool or network setup needs IP-based auth, that rules it out today.
- Static residential outside the US. ISP proxies are US only, with no state or city choice, so static IPs in Europe or Asia need another provider.
- Bursty usage on a subscription. Unused monthly bandwidth does not roll over. If your usage swings month to month, use the pay-as-you-go balance, which never expires, or look at DataImpulse for non-expiring first-party residential at $1/GB.
- The very largest enterprise crawls. Bright Data's 400M+ pool and enterprise tooling remain the reference point when budget is secondary to coverage.
Alternativesโ
- DataImpulse: first-party residential at a flat $1/GB pay as you go, with traffic that never expires. The pick when you value first-party sourcing and want no subscription at all.
- Bright Data: the largest pool and the deepest enterprise tooling, at several times the price per GB.
- Apify: proxies bundled into a full scraping platform, with Actors, scheduling and storage. A good fit if you would rather not run scrapers at all.
For the full side-by-side, see Best residential proxies 2026.
Final recommendationโ
Start with the Core Residential 1-day trial, run your real target through it with per-request rotation, then switch on a hard session for any logged-in flow. If the success rate holds, the 100 GB plan at $49/month is the cheapest residential bandwidth you can buy self-serve, and the pay-as-you-go balance covers months when usage drops.
Evomi suits teams for whom bandwidth is the biggest line on the scraping bill. It pairs that price with free city-level targeting, 24-hour sticky sessions and reputation filters that budget providers rarely offer, and adds a Scraper API and Scraping Browser for the targets where raw proxies stop being worth the effort.

A sticky session holds the same IP for 30 minutes by default, and the lifetime- parameter extends it to 1,440 minutes (24 hours). A hardsession- key instead keeps the exact IP for as long as the network allows. Both are free.

No. Evomi currently authenticates proxies with a username and password only. Targeting and session options are appended to the password, so one credential set covers every location.
Not on subscription plans: unused monthly bandwidth resets at renewal. Pay-as-you-go traffic has no time limit, so it is the better choice for uneven usage.
HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 on every proxy product. HTTPS uses the evomi-proxy.com hostname, which the TLS certificate covers. UDP is available on static residential, and on Core Residential as an enterprise feature enabled by support.
